On January 2-7th, 2009 Marshmallow & Sandy participated in the Jeff Griffith Colt Starting Clinic (www.jeffgriffith.com) held at the Iowa Equestrian Center (www.iowaequestrian.com), Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.   Thanks so much to Jeff for coming every year, these are the 4th & 5th colts we have started with Jeff (Spirit, Jan 06; Rudy Jan 07; Silky April 08; Marshmallow & Sandy, Jan 09).

Marsh had 5 solid days of riding in the clinic and has been sacked out, has some rope work done and will move out at all three gaits in both directions.  She is seriously started right and ready to learn.  Thanks to Kelli Paulson (www.midstatesranchhorses.com) for putting six weeks of riding on Marshmallow and Sandy in June-July 2009.  Between riding Rudy, PG & Silky, I just didn't have enough time to get everyone ready for our week long ride at The Natural Gait in August.  Kelli did a great job with both fillies and they both got along great at TNG!!
