Rudy's sire has over 140 heading, heeling and steer stopping points.  His dam has PAC points in working ranch horse, roping, cutting and has produced a NRCHA money earner and APHA point earner in Working Cow Horse.

Rudy has gathered pastures in the sandhills of Nebraska, sorted pairs in feedlots, doctored calves in the pasture/lot and branded calves.  I have stepped off him and worked the grounds, too..  Has been hobbled trained but has not hobbled in a while so will need a refresher course.  

He has been ridden in several clinics (horsemanship, reining, cow work and roping) with Jeff Griffith, Kip Fladland, Eber Christopher, Brent Graef and Bob King.  During the summers of 2009 and 2010 he served as Scott's trail riding mount.  He has never been shod and we ride him barefoot on gravel roads and on the trails in NE, SE and SW Iowa.  He is very quiet and easy to handle, catch, trim, vaccinate, worm, halter, tie, trailer, etc.  UTD on vaccines/coggins.  

Rudy is well broke, neck reins, takes his leads, good start on turn-a-rounds and rollbacks.  He is in a great place to start heading/heeling or calf roping training, too.  Ready to go in a shank bit, I just prefer the snaffle or hackamore when roping ot trail riding but I have ridden him in a reiner shank bit alot.  Although he is well broke, he is not for a youth or a timid rider.  He is in a great place to start heading/heeling or calf roping training.  Rudy is looking for a rider that likes to do a variety of things and not just hang out in the pasture.
